Splitting London

London, England.  Two photographs:  on the left is the London Eye {if you follow this site you will have seen it many times – so touristy, yet I can’t help shooting it } and on the right is the London Bridge.  The colors at night around London are bright, crisp, and glowing.

Brazil Has The Blues

A house in Brazil.  Stunning worn walls and porch create texture and a story to tell. According to the CIA World Fact Book, in 2010 Brazil had 4,072 airports.  Only 726 of the airports had paved runways.

Palm Frond

A palm frond section shot from above in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.  There are over 2,500 species of palm trees.

Un Fractal Des Fractos

Paris, France.  A comic entitled:  Un Fractal Des Fractos discovered in an alleyway glued to a pipe.  My favorite part is not the comic, even though I laughed, it’s that the wall is built around the pipe.

Ants

Spring is finally here!  Below is a photograph of a large ant colony outside on a sidewalk.  Worker ants live for up to seven years and the queens of some species living more than 25 years.  Mating season, and when ant colonies are at their height, is usually from June to August.  However, this photo was taken yesterday, so I am not sure what they are doing?  If you know, please feel free to comment.

New Mexico

I traveled to Montezuma, New Mexico to photograph Mat Freimuth, recent graduate of Armand Hammer United World College – part of United World Colleges.  Everyone was full of life and ready to take on the world.  Congratulations!
