French Reflection

I am currently reading ‘White Truffles in Winter‘ by N.M. Kelby.  A beautifully delicious novel based in France – which has forced me to look through my archived photos of France (poor me – I know.)  Although this image does not remind me of the book, I am having a fling with Paris in my head at the moment so I think it works well.  I love this image for the reflection, the bold colors, the lines, and how it reminds me of the meal I ate right after it was shot – so maybe it does fit in with the book? Parfaite!

Paris’ Inside Out Building

The inside-out Pompidou Center in Paris, by Rogers and Renzo Piano, was completed in 1977.

Pâtisseries

A tempting pastry shop in Paris, France.  France is known for delicious and innovative pastry making.  I think the best pastry shops in Paris are places you find when you just need to sit down, relax, and take in the culture…

Paris Lunch Break

Paris, France.  Resting my feet at an outdoor cafe in the Tuileries Gardens before the wanderings continued.  The Tuileries are the oldest and largest public park in Paris which connect the Louvre Museum and the Arc de Triomphe.

Embassy of France

Black & White image of a ceiling in the Embassy of France (La Maison Francaise), Washington D.C.

French Bakery

Sometimes I keep my favorite photographs to myself.  This image was taken in Paris, France and it always brings back so many fond memories I decided to share it with the world rather than keep it hidden on my computer.  There is nothing special about it, just a simple little bakery outlined in blue. Enjoy.

Notre Dame Chorus

Notre Dame de Paris (which means “Our Lady of Paris”) had a wonderful singing chorus performing for the public.  I wonder if they minded me laying on the ground to get the shot?

Doux Dog

Image from Paris, France.  The owner of this cafe calls his dog “Doux” after the sweetest Champagne variety from France-of course he does…

Statue Holding Room

Photograph taken at the Louvre Museum in Paris. The “Statue Holding Room” photograph is mysterious and I now feel the need to travel back to see if any of these covered statues are in an exhibit.
