Colin And Patrick

Atlanta, Georgia.  Two brothers:  Colin & Christopher (aka Patrick) take a few seconds out of their busy schedule of basketball shooting, Angry Bird playing, and Lego building to look at the camera.  How can you not love their boyish charm? – don’t ever loose it!

Cornhill Street Squatters

I’m not sure what to say? I think they are beautiful and natural, but also wonder about my sanity?  Some dead, some alive, these ‘squatters’ were in the store front window of an Annapolis building being turned into a restaurant.  If its any consolation:  this building has been abandoned since 2007.

Closed Door Series

The arched architecture present in these three doorways just makes-me-happy.  Better yet, each was shot in a different part of the world:  Sicily, Arkansas, and San Francisco.

Washington D.C., the Hirshhorn Museum’s founding donor, Joseph H. Hirshhorn (1899–1981), immigrated to New York from Latvia when he was eight years old.

Paris’ Inside Out Building

The inside-out Pompidou Center in Paris, by Rogers and Renzo Piano, was completed in 1977.

Reynolds Family Part Deux

We’re back this year with the ever-so-lovely Reynolds Family.  Photo shoot was in Historic Downtown Annapolis, Maryland on a beautiful sunny day.  I loved to see how everyone has grown over the past year (you too Carrie & Matt!)  Although there were many color photos taken the black & white images really captured some special moments.

Break: Sicilian Style

Sciacca, Sicily after we take a break from eating our gelato on a sweet bun or, “Brioche al Gelato,” Peppe  smokes while the rest of us look out onto the sea.  In Sicily, lavender is a top-selling flavor of gelato.

The Last Weekend

Ocean City, Maryland.  The last weekend before tourists hit the beach, everything is closed and quiet.

Port Discovery

The Port Discovery Children’s Museum in Baltimore, Maryland won the 2008 Accent on Architecture Award of Merit for Excellence in Public Education of Architecture and Design by The American Architectural Foundation and Victor O. Schinnerer & Company, Inc.

NYC Water Tower

After dozens of visits to New York City I finally noticed the water towers.  Apparently I am the last one to know about these structures; They are everywhere and still in use today.  All buildings in NYC taller than six stories high must have a water tower-a rule dating back to the 1800′s.
