   Hi Sonja-

   Your seed pods are from one of our native trees ‘Robinia pseudoacacia’ or Black Locust.

   Excellent, thank you The tree is in my “backyard” and there are only a few of the ‘pods’ on the ground. I assume they have a strong hold. Thanks for the site – now I know!
